Crawling

Mirra crawled for the first time today!!  She is a little over 10 months.  Late bloomer I guess.  It is the funniest looking crawl.  She takes a step and then pulls onto her knee.  So funny.

Blueberries! And lots of them.

This has got to be the best picture.  After picking blueberries for a while we had to stop and hopefully get Mirra to fall asleep - nope, didn't happen.  But we quickly found out that she loves to eat blueberries - by the handful!  She went diving into the bucket and didn't stop until I made her.  Silly girl.
Aren't these beautiful.  They are good too.

This is Mirra diving.

 And diving some more.

Stuffing her face.  The blueberry stains were worth it.

Like father like son.  They are so similar.  This is Jett by the way - for those of you who can't tell. :)

Jett again.

Jack

And blue teeth Celie

I wonder how many she ate?

We ate so many blueberries that  most of us didn't function normally for the next couple of days - even Mirra.  Thanks, Becca, for the pictures.

Flying Fish

Swim team has been great for both Celie and Jack in very different ways.  They love it.  they are getting in the spirit of competition now and Jack will finally jump in with out too much coaxing.

 Go Flying Fish!!

Jett feels it is his turn for a pic.

Celie in her team suit.

Jack with no team suit.  I didn't wan't to spend all that money and find out we won't compete.

After I was done taking pics of the other two Jett ran into the spot and posed for me without me asking.  He is good at following what the others do.

Team picture.  Celie is on the far left while Jack is on the far right.

Tomatoes

Some of the first tomatoes ripened from our garden were humongous!  This wasn't the biggest, but it gives you an idea on how big they are.

Here is a comparison to a regular sized tomato.

This one is called brandy wine or something like that.  It is large and dark in color and from Celie's description it tastes "low".  I totally expected that response from Jack, not Celie.  It has a deeper richer taste - none of us like it.  Maybe in a certain dish, but not on a Marvin and Joe!

This is when we decided to can tomatoes.  We'll need to do it again soon.
