Texas A&M

Pics taken Feb 16, 2007

Texas A&M buddies! M and J love to play. When Daddy comes home it is play time!!!
J has the cutest little jeans!

Playdo

Pics taken on February, 15 2007.

If you don't know what these are then I am very offended! Just kidding. C and I play with playdo and I was pretty proud of these little creations so I took a picture. You can't tell how skilled of a work it is from the picture, but I assure you it is masterpiece worthy! Ok, so it is a sheep and a pig if you couldn't figure it out. C was sad after she smashed them. Nope, I don't think I could make those again!

Jaguar

This is back on February 16, 2007. C loves to stroll anything around. This day is was the jaguar that got the most attention and service. At our apartment she would run back and forth with the stroller making sure she was fast enough for the jaguar to enjoy the ride. She treats everything as if it was a baby. Hmm, I wonder if that is a reaction from having J? Either way, she has obvious maternal instincts. We love her. Oh, and Lisa; thanks for the jacket - it is so cute!

Funny Five Months Old

I am posting this a little later than I wrote it – ok a month later. Oops.

J is starting to develop his character more fully. He is so funny to watch. Here is a list of things he loves to do:

-whine for mommy and then smile, laugh, and wave his arms uncontrollably when I come to get him.

-rubs and scratches his head for fun. He has even left some bleeding scratch marks on his head!

-reaches to grab anything Mom is holding with gusto!

-Smiles when ever you look at him.

-He likes to be swaddled to help him sleep (an extra tight wrap!)

-He has his hand in his mouth 24/7. Yum!

-He likes to slap his hands together up and down really fast.

-Pulling C’s hair is always fun!

-He rolls on his side to reach the moving boxes and then scratches them. A fun interesting sound.

-Da Da Da, yup, already speaking! Just kidding. He does say it over and over when he is tired. I assume it mean that it is Daddy’s turn to change diaper and put him to sleep.

-Giggles at C only when she is at a reasonable distance.

-He loves to be held

-He is a happy mamma’s boy – sweeter than honey! Good thing too since I don’t like honey.

Wish you all could see him.

New Job

My sweet hubby is loving his new job. It keeps him busy and he likes that. He says that there is something new every day and he doesn’t have to sit at a desk all day. His official job title is GSC Bar Analyst which is basically a financial analyst. He over sees accountants in different countries!! Crazy huh? He is living the high life with a big office on the 13th floor woowee! I can’t even go visit him. Too much security. Maybe I’ll send the camera with him so he can take pictures! Some day I’ll get up enough guts to drive down town to go to lunch with him. Someday. M got lost going to and from work about every day for a full week. If he can get lost then I don’t know what would happen to me! Well, I just thought y’all would like to know a little bit about M’s new job. He would love a call from you friends and family. Oh, J is just now smiling in his sleep – priceless!!

Cake and my Dad

It is my dad’s birthday today. C made a cake for him; it has a lot of princess Cinderella sprinkles on it; just what every papa wants. I hope he has a lot of fun on his special day. C wanted to bring the cake to him, but I told her that it was too far away. She was sad for a while until she realized that she could eat the cake instead of give it away. Sorry Dad. We fed the missionaries last night so I decorated the other part of the cake with the words: Let us all press on. Ya, pretty tacky, but it helped C learn about giving and sharing. The missionaries felt special. I hope my dad knows we are thinking of him even though we are far away. Happy 42nd!

Perfect Night

Last night J ate at 8:00 p.m. and then I gave him a little snack at 10 to put him to sleep. He then slept until 5:00 a.m. Yea! Wait, there is more. C woke up with a dry bed and went potty on her own at 5:00 a.m. I am so grateful for a good nights sleep. It makes all the difference. We went outside today to clean the highchair and car seat. Oh it is beautiful weather. Couldn’t ask for a nicer day. My favorite forecast; sunny, a little breezy in the mid 70’s! I need to remember these days when it gets miserable in the summer. Wish you were all here to enjoy it with us.

For family home evening we planted tomatoes in buckets. It is my first attempt at gardening! I hope all goes well. If any of you have advice on growing them please share! C asks if we can go see the “matoes” every few hours. Aside from getting her hands dirty she loved this project and I think it will be great for her (and me).
