I can't believe it has been a full year since the passing of my dear mother from the unforgiving disease of pancreatic cancer. It was a grumpy day for me. All of the memories flooded back and overtook my mind. I felt like I was reliving the pains over again. I don't know how to get over the negative thoughts of 'what if I had done this' or 'if I had only done that'. I will never forget the way she looked at me before she slipped into a comatose state before passing away. The only way I can describe it is the perfect love of Christ. That moment is branded into my memory. She was such a fighter throughout her sickness. I am so proud to call her my mom. I love her with all my heart and I am looking forward to the day that my family and I can see her again.

I'm so sorry Melanie. I think you are entitled to be a little grumpy on a day like this. I love the pictures and thoughts you shared.
I had the same overwhelming sadness when I visited Stacy's grave a few days ago. The loss of a loved one really hurts! I'm grateful for the Savior so that I can move forward. Thanks for sharing this. Your mom is beautiful.
Those are beautiful pictures Melanie. Your Mom is missed . . . . (((hugs)))
You had all rights to be grumpy. I can imagine that you had a mix of feelings good, sad and bad. Hopefully as time passes only the happy fun memories will be formost in your mind.
She is such a grand person. It was a privilege to know her.
