Mommy and Me

I finally have a baby that looks a little like me. It is fun to have a girl with dark hair. She is beautiful and sweet. She is growing fast too. She is already 2 1/2 months old. She giggled the first time at 2 months old and she sleeps through the night fairly regularly. She eats fast and loves to cuddle. She can fall asleep when I wrap her a certain way or when it is chaotically noisy in the house. She takes a binky well, loves the sound of voices and faces to smile at. She has a heart murmur and has had it since birth. It is officially called a VSD; Ventricular septal defect. She is perfectly fine though and is a joy to have in our home. Celie is an excellent babysitter at home and loves having Mirra in her room. "Mom, you don't have to come get the baby when she cries. I'll take care of her for you." What a sweet girl!

Halloween Fun

This year I was lucky enough to come up with an idea that didn't involve purchasing costumes for everyone. All I did was find boots for 3 of the kids at our garage sale, my friend gave us all hats and I made a bag for Mirra. The two red hatted kids are the old-west bank robbers that stole the money bag (Mirra), but got caught by the sheriff in the black hat. I am glad they had fun with a simple costume design. I antiqued the picture to make it look more old western for you. Aren't they cute?

Mirra's Blessing Day

Mirra was blessed on October 10th 2010. Marty's parents and my Dad were able to come and participate. It was far to travel and we appreciate the sacrifices they made to be here. Mirra's dress was made by her Aunt Becky. It is beautiful! Thank you Becky. It was such a special day not only because Mirra was blessed, but my close friend Deanna was blessing her baby the same day. I feel honored to have a worthy husband who holds the priesthood and can bless my children. It was a memorable day.

Parfait

Ever since we went blueberry picking back in July Jack's preferred breakfast dish is parfait. He asks every morning for it, but consistently forgets what it is called. Celie gets annoyed and yells parfait Jack, parfait! He doesn't get it every morning, but when he does he savors each bite taking about an hour to eat breakfast (which is why he doesn't get it every morning). Silly boy.

Parfait
granola cereal
any yogurt
frozen blueberries on top . . . yum!

Jack's 4th birthday came and went. I didn't get any pictures. My camera battery was dead :( He was a good boy. All he asked for was a chocolate cake. I can do that! He got to play with a friend the next day too. Happy Birthday Jack!

Thanks for the birthday pics Cassidy!

Beautiful Utah

We finally have lovely weather here! The kids and I spend many mornings outside now and we are loving it. It does, however, remind us of home and now I am getting homesick. I love Utah's beautiful landscape. This picture was taken near my in-laws. So gorgeous.

More kids pictures

I finally got a new computer and everything is much faster and easier! I had fun putting these pics together. Celie started school and the kids are growing fast. Mirra is 3 1/2 weeks already and a big girl, probably 10 lbs by now! We are getting ready for her blessing day on October 10th 2010. Family is coming and we are so excited.

My little swimmers

The kids have really gotten good at swimming this summer. I think we have gone more this summer than any other. Celie and Jack dive to the bottom now (as long as they have their goggles). Jett follows their lead by dipping his face in every once in a while. We only did a few swimming lessons, but it sure paid off. I hope they will keep their skill and interest throughout the year. All three will go down the big slide now. Many evenings Daddy would take them to the pool as soon as he got home. The kids have cherished those times. What a crazy fun summer
